Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.The work model for the role is: #LI- OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Motion Business for System Drive Division in Nelamangala- Bangalore IndiaYou will be mainly accountable for:Apply and implement ABB SCM standards, tools and processes inprocurement and vendor management to secure quality, delivery, cost,sustainability, and integrity. Oversee ordering for the projects & ensure availability within lead-times Lookout for cost optimization/reduction opportunities and tap it Create and update reports, as required following the ABB standards. Execute and implement initiatives within the SCM and local division bycollaborating with other functions. Apply ABB standards on health, safety, environment and business ethicswithin P&L function operational work, contract management and negotiations. Deliver and participate in training programs as required for compliance andprofessional development. Execute effective and transparent communication internally, externally andbetween different units and centers. Standardize processes and implement routines as per Group directives &instructions. Working Knowledge on SAP

Qualifications for the role

 BE/Diploma (Electrical/Electronics). Should have good communication skills. Good team player and able to outstretch their own standards periodically
