An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Software Engineer with knowledge of C/C++ and/or Java technologies to join our PCPT (Prime Cloud Platform Team) in Nicosia, Cyprus. PCPT is focused on supporting our growing cloud business for PiTC (Prime in The Cloud). Our cloud platform involves a collection of multiple components forming our processing solution hosted in multiple cloud regions.
Our Software Engineers will be responsible for coding, debugging, maintaining, supporting, implementing and validating applications whilst collaborating and communicating with appropriate parties. They will further maintain and utilize application and programming documents in the development of code, recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards, and create appropriate deliverables and develop application implementation plans throughout the life cycle.
Key responsibilities include:
Code Development, independently or within a team utilizing the agile modelRoot cause analysis of issues in all the phases of a projectProblem solving and client supportAbility to work competently, accurately, and professionally in a changeable & time critical environment and ultimately meet deadlinesTake Initiatives and ownership of tasksProject implementation on Amazon Cloud (AWS)Communicating and enforcing coding standards.The following skills are required:
Knowledge and experience using C/C++ and/or JavaKnowledge of UNIX/Linux Operating SystemsBasic Knowledge of Database Concepts and SQLDatabase Development skills, specifically in Oracle PL/SQL.The following skills would be advantageous:
Knowledge to DevOps tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes etc.Knowledge of Cloud technology (e.g. AWS).Other requirements:
