We are currently seeking for a Junior Software Integration Engineer for our Honeywell Building Solutions division based in Cologno Monzese. Where you will be working fully onsite for the Cruise industry.
This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell. This apprenticeship is set up for 24 months.
Honeywell Building Solutions is a $2.5B strategic business unit inside of Honeywell’s Global Building Technologies Business. HBS installs and maintains the systems to help keep buildings and facilities connected, safe, secure, comfortable and cost-efficient and is a leading provider of energy efficiency solutions worldwide.
Responsibilities:
· Assist the project engineering manager in delivering integrated solution that have a complex technical design requirement (Cruise industry solutions).
· Coordinate the contribution of various internal and external key stakeholders useful for the realization of the project.
· Complete complex and integrated system design and documentation.
· Develop software, perform ‘bench testing’ if required and deliver commissioning package to field. Assist delivery in start-up as required.
· Assist the application engineers during programming and site activities as well as technical project management.
· Integration of systems into the supervisor software, including third-party systems using BACnet, Modbus, OPC, KNX and other protocols.
· Use Change Control logs to create a full audit trail of all design changes to support the Project Manager in his change order management activities.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in electronic, Software engineering or related fields.
· Fluent in Italian C2 and English B1-B2, with solid communication and interpersonal skills.
· Knowledgeable in networking,integration protocols,database technology, and industry trends, with a willingness to learn Honeywell’s latest technologies.
· Self-motivated, able to work both independently and within a team, and committed to customer satisfaction.
· Availability to travel in Europe 20-30% of the time and be willing to work on board a cruise ship.
· Must be eligible for an apprenticeship contract.
