**Description**

To address the growing demands within the Department of Defense, SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic **Junior Systems Architect** to support platform engineering for Platform Infrastructure Management of our Digital and AI Team as we embark on a large initiative to lead the design and operate integrated Enterprise IT solutions that deliver AI-enabled capabilities and enable data-driven decision making to missions across the Department, Services, and Combatant Commands.
The Ideal candidate will be adept at managing customer relationships, driving operational excellence, and fostering continuous improvement across all service areas.
**Core** **Responsibilities:**
+ Aids in designs and defines solution architecture for integration of multiple approaches, processes, systems, and applications across the enterprise based on customer and associated security requirements.
+ Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, working parameters for hardware/software compatibility, and life cycle maintenance specifications of the system.
+ Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system.
+ Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system support deficiencies.
+ Assists development and documents the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards.
+ Assists in the development of and manages an architecture governance process.
+ Develops and recommends corrective actions.
+ May provide technical guidance for system or database administrators and software developers.
+ Participates in proposal solution development leveraging solution architecture skills.
+ May develop basis of estimate(s) and/or basis of material (BOM) for system elements.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
+ ITIL Certification
+ Experience working in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
+ Experience working in an Agile Community, using Agile methodology for product and project management.
+ Experience working in a DoD environment supporting one of the Armed Forces in an enterprise IT environment, across multiple domains and various clearance levels.
+ SEC+ certification or similar certification to meet DoD 8140 (formerly DoD 8570) requirements.
+ U.S. Citizenship and a TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI w/ CI Poly is required.
**Preferred Qualifications** :
+ Possess experience analyzing high tech systems, identifying improvements, and advocating for changes that positively affect customer outcomes.
+ Possess experience in planning and designing communications strategies for a large organization.
+ Possess experience improving customer success for high tech platforms involving data analytics, AI/ML or decision support systems.
+ Possess experience in designing and delivering knowledge management documents and customer training courses either in person or online.
+ Experience supporting organizations or customers through digital modernization, particularly related to cloud, data, DevSecOps, and AI/analytics.
