KBR is seeking a Sustainment Test and Evaluation Engineer to support a MILSATCOM Program Management Office (PMO) within the US Space Force’s (USSF), Space Systems Command (SSC) at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), CO. We are looking for an innovative, creative, and highly motivated individual to provide test and evaluation and terminal operations on a diverse set of strategic and tactical MILSATCOM systems and infrastructure.

The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Force’s Space and Missiles System Center. We support the Air Force’s acquisition of state of the art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. Key Responsibilities:

Design, plan, coordinate, execute testing and provide terminal operations support on the Family of Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminals (FAB-T), Mission Planning Subsystem (MPSS), Air Force Command Post Terminal (AFCPT), Time Distribution Subsystem Pre Processor (TDSPP), Milstar Messaging System (MMS), Global Broadcast Service (GBS), Ground Multi-band Terminal (GMT), various other systems, subsystems and MILSATCOM devicesProvide engineering and technician-level support for each of the above systems, including integration, communication circuit troubleshooting, and system-level anomaly resolutionIdentify and isolate software or hardware defects to evaluate/assess system modifications for shortfalls or interoperability issues and provide technical assessments to the client with regards to the modificationsAuthor and deliver technical documentation including test plans, test procedures, system configuration diagrams, engineering studies, technical white papers, and test reports

Qualifications:

Required:

You must be authorized to work in the US and able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearanceBachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or equivalent technical disciplineKnowledge of DoD mission system sustainmentMust be a motivated, self-starter capable of autonomous on-the-job learning/improvementProficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skillsAbility to understand DoD/USAF test processes and documentationAbility to understand working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationshipsAbility to understand MILSATCOM equipment and troubleshooting

Desired:

International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Certification (i.e. ASEP, CSEP, ESEP)Specific experience operating or maintaining the following: MPSS, FAB-T, AFCPT, TDSPP, MMS, GMT, GBS Receive Suites, cryptographic equipment (e.g., KIV-7M, ANDVT, KGV-11, KG-250), or related infrastructure and/or support equipmentBe able to attain a TS/SCI clearance

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Basic Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
