Mechanical Intern - Automated Tooling System with Location Tracking

We are looking for a mechanical Intern to join our team. This internship opportunity will focus on defining and developing an automated tooling system with location tracking capabilities. This project aims to enhance efficiency, safety, and productivity by eliminating the need for human handling during tool give-out and return processes.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the engineering team to conceptualize, design, and develop an automated tooling systemConduct research and analysis to identify suitable technologies and components for the systemDesign and prototype mechanical components, including tool dispensers, return mechanisms, and conveyance systemsIntegrate location tracking technologiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including software and hardware engineers, to ensure seamless integration of the systemDocument design specifications, assembly instructions, and maintenance proceduresAssist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during system development and implementation

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and conceptsFamiliarity with automation technologies, such as robotics and conveyance systemsKnowledge of location tracking technologies (e.g., RFID, GPS)Problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
