Junior Underwriter, Auto Dealership Segment
**About The Role** HUB International has an immediate opening for Junior Underwriter, to support the Auto Dealership Program within the Commercial Programs Unit reporting to the Underwriting Manager, Auto Dealership Segment. This is an ideal role for an individual with high accuracy, strong attention to detail to process complex commercial files to meet tight deadlines. It is also suited to those who are seeking to build new relationships with both broker and insurer partners. **What You’ll Do** + Manage a large book of dealership business (new/renewals). This includes oversight on endorsements, policy issuance, and risk control. + Meet yearly performance targets for growth, rate, program loss ratio, and other defined goals that are discussed annually + Work within your delegated UW authority and adhere to our Corporate UW Guidelines + Responding to broker requests and inquiries with a sense of urgency + Build strong relationships with both our broker and insurer partners (some travel is required) + Be an active participate in team/company/partner meetings + Maintain knowledge of company and industry Underwriting policies, procedures and standards + Supporting business development and promotional activities **Qualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success** + 3-5 years Commercial Underwriting Experience + Previous MGA/Insurer experience is desired but not mandatory + CIP and/or CAIB an asset + RIBO License Required (or obtain within the first 3 months of employment) + Post-Secondary Education or equivalent education and experience + Experience on EPIC, RTM or equivalent broker management system an asset but not mandatory + Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook + Drive for excellence in customer service and sales + Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills required + Professional, positive and courteous in all interactions with customers and co-workers + A strong work ethic, good organizational skills and the ability to work within a team environment + Strong attention to detail, time management and analytical skills. + Aptitude to understanding insurance concepts, learning new coverages, and applying this knowledge to the sales process. **Elevate Your Career with HUB International** Choosing HUB International means aligning your career with the premier insurance brokerage in Canada and the fifth-largest global insurance and employee benefits broker worldwide.
