Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with company policies and maritime regulations. Coordinate and manage maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections to ensure vessel safety and efficiency. Collaborate with the technical team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on board. Monitor vessel performance and implement measures to optimise operational efficiency. Ensure all documentation and certifications are up-to-date and in compliance with international maritime standards. Liaise with port authorities, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth vessel operations. Assist in budget preparation and cost control measures for vessel operations. Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for crew members. Prepare and submit detailed reports on vessel performance and incidents. Requirements:
Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC). Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the maritime industry. Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage. Benefits:
