Role Summary

The Junior Workday Functional Analyst will be responsible for providing Tier 2 support for our divisional teams in Asia to ensure effective data quality & auditing, training and knowledge transfer on Workday key concepts.  The role requires effective troubleshooting and defect resolution of issues that arise in Workday and any downstream integrations. Workday modules include: Core HCM, Compensation, Talent Management, Absence Management, Benefits (for NA).

Key Responsibilities

•    Provides Workday subject matter functional expertise for day-to-day support including data uploads (EIB), testing and other troubleshooting support
•    Identify and escalate complex inquiries or cases to tier 3 support, as needed by forwarding tickets
•    Distinguish system support tickets from functional related tickets through Magna’s ticketing system
•    Conduct system audit and notify responsible persons of discrepancies and/or errors to maintain and improve data integrity
•    Administer and audit Workday user security access 
•    Understand and be familiar with the existing business process flows
•    Assist with coordination and delivery of end user training as necessary to support the effective use of Workday
•    Assist with ongoing communication to end users regarding system updates/releases, as well as new functionality
•    Run and schedule simple custom reports, as required
•    Prepare reports and system analytics as necessary to support HR Programs, as assigned
•    Act as the liaison between HR teams and Magna Corporate Systems Administrators to ensure ongoing continuous improvement of system effectiveness and the timely resolution of problems
•    Assist with system testing as needed when new configuration/minor changes are to be rolled out
•    Translate business requirements into functional requirements
•    Assist with projects and other duties as required
 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

•    1-2 year’s Workday functional experience
•    Strong attention to detail
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills
•    Strong English language skills (written and oral)
•    Strong analytical mind; demonstrated critical thinking and analytic skills with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
•    Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the clients’ needs and situation
•    Excellent collaborator and a team player
•        Well-developed root-cause analytical skills with the ability to configure and troubleshoot issues and defects 
•    Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution
•    Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information 
•    Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management
•    Ability to understand business priorities and align technology opportunities 
•    Ability to set priorities in a fast-paced environment
•    Focus on quality and customer service
•    Nice to have: Workday Functional Certifications; Workday Pro certification in one or multiple HCM modules, AMS experience
 

Knowledge and Education

Completion of University Degree
