Kaman is looking for an ambitious Field Service Representative to support the K-Max Helicopter program. Working under general direction with minimum supervision a successful candidate in this role will provide quality technical support and training at our headquarters in Bloomfield, CT and at various customer sites including international customers. Duties and responsibilities include servicing K-Max customers and promoting good customer relations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Advise and train customers in the operation and maintenance of aircraft, applying knowledge of aircraft systems, company specifications and federal aviation administration inspection procedures and techniques.Provide technical assistance, troubleshoot, repair and maintain operational readiness.Review publications for technical accuracy and make recommendations as needed.Diagnose technical problems and recommend corrective action. Analyze reports of technical problems to determine trends affecting future design, production, service and maintenance and processes. Recommend modifications to eliminate and/or minimize future problems as needed.Liaison with all levels of company personnel (mechanics, pilots, engineers, technical manual writers, etc.) and customer personnel to facilitate problem identification and resolution.Advise and assist in design changes to improve product efficiency and/or reduce cost of operation.Assist customers in managing spare parts supply.Must become proficient in company’s Part 145 Repair Station and subsequent responsibilities while working under the Repair Station Manual, including return to Service authority while traveling to customer’s sites.Maintain K-Max and HH43-B aircraft for supporting the Pilot and Maintenance Training courses and any other company requirements of the aircraft.Maintain records, data and other pertinent information. Remain current in modern aircraft practices to ensure continuous improvement. Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal.High level of discretion; position involves routine exposure to customers and proprietary information.Proficient in Microsoft Wrod, Powerpoint and Excel, with the ability to prepare and submit presentations and reports as requiredElectrical and mechanical troubleshooting of aircraft systems.
EXPERIENCE
7 years aviation maintenance experience, including 2-3 years of helicopter maintenance and/or related experience.
EDUCATION
Equivalent to high school plus additional broad specialized training equivalent to at least two years college.Required: Valid FAA Airframe and Power plant (A&P) certificate and working knowledge of federal aviation regulations that apply to aviation maintenance technicians.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
