Job Description:

Industrial Solutions business is seeking an Integrated Operations Consultant for the Kalrez/DEPbusiness group. The Industrial Solutions business provides specialty industrial materials and industrial applications, precision parts and elastomers for semiconductor, and industrial/ automotive applications with a deep customer focus, advanced technologies and global reach. The Integrated Operations Consultant (IOC) role is a standard global role that resides in the E&I Integrated Operations organization and reports to the Integrated Operations Leader (IOL).

Position/Purpose

The IO Consultant role supports the IO Leader through identification, measurement, development, and overall management of the various types of improvement efforts across both supply chain and manufacturing teams within the specific Line of Business (LOB) to deliver both short and long-term market demands.The IO Consultant is responsible to work directly with the various Integrated Operations functions such as Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing Technology & Contract Manufacturing, Finance and Reliability & Manufacturing Integration, to define and execute improvement efforts within the LOB Integrated Operations team.The IO Consultant role facilitates the managing processes necessary across IO in the specific LOB (strategy flow down, KPI flow down, site performance dialogues, decision boards …)

Core Responsibilities

Ensure that manufacturing and supply chain capabilities are effectively aligned to meet business needs including quality, cost control, budgets, supply vs. demand, priorities etc.Coordinate process for defining manufacturing strategy and ensure alignment within each LOB.Coordinate capturing LOB continuous improvement efforts within the Opportunity Tracking Tool (OTT). Validate minor projects for financial justification and savings.Lead annual processes for updates to Capacity Manual across the LOB Integrated Operations. Collaborates with Supply Chain (SC) Master Planner to align planning rates as part of 18-24 month production forecasts.Represents the LOB IO team for planning and decision making regarding the various resources and programs to meet LOB needs within functional (Business/SC Continuous Improvement, MT/Contract Manufacturing, EHS, etc.) and external teams.Coordinate preparation of LOB performance metrics for reporting

Create and sell value proposition for LOB IO improvementSupport the building of an efficient Supply Chain and Manufacturing team.Consulting skills: Hypothesis development, Data Collection and Analysis, Designing Models and Analytical Tools, Interpreting results, Facilitation Training, Synthesis Message development and communication, Establishing & Managing relationships, CoachingIdentify, develop standard methodology, and help business to implement external and internal manufacturing/supply chain best practices.Resource initiatives to support LOB Integrated Operations improvements as part of the overall IO effectiveness.Develop and Support the implementation of standard roles including role descriptions, activities, tools, and requirements for the Integrated Operations Job Family.Assist in gap analysis and evaluations of the capability of the Integrated Operations team with regard to people, processes and tools.Develop and implement programs to improve LOB IO people and process competency in alignment with business excellence.Assist in development of self and team through execution of training for the standard roles by continuously identifying and communicating the specified and available educationProvide enablers to support Integrated Operations improvement (e.g. SharePoint sites, common databases, etc.)Establish networks with internal and external Integrated Operations leadership groups to leverage and accelerate work and improvement.Provide the connection for inter-relationships between Manufacturing, SC, & Demand (where appropriate)Provide IO Benchmarks where appropriate to support business improvement.

Accountability

Accountable for complete & accurate input to the LOB IO process on manufacturing and supply chain: capabilities, operating plans, costs, and production forecasts/supplyEnsure IOL is aware of key business issues pertaining to the Integrated Operation performance and plans for the LOB.

Work Experience/Knowledge/Expectations:

Manufacturing experience: 2+ years as Production Area Superintendent or other equivalent roles in Manufacturing.Supply Chain experience: 2+ years. Supply Chain Professional role (Master Planner) or 2+ years in Order Fulfillment leadership roleProduct Quality/Market requirements knowledge in assigned LOBGreen Belt trained/certified (prefer Black Belt trained/certified)APICS CPIM or CSCP certified (could attain while in role)Geographically flexible – within a region
