What You’ll Do


The Key Account Manager will execute Stanley Black & Decker traditional channel strategy and be responsible for the channel’s growth in the region. This is a full-time, remote position based in Cali and the top responsibilities are:

•    Responsible for delivering annual Operating Plan financial & commercial objectives:
o    Working with other areas to optimize the customer experience and devising the plan to deliver against market and brand-level targets
o    Outpacing industry competitors in share performance across relevant competitive categories
•    Lead the Traditional Channel team to execute the ongoing development of the OGSM, Sales strategy, planning and marketing strategies for account within overall FY plan:
o    Develop commercial proposals; identify business opportunities and expand the existing portfolio within the active client portfolio
o    Gather detailed customer information, identifying and connecting with key decision makers to understand customer’s strategic business challenges and business priorities
o    Develop an integrated Joint Business Plan for the key customer
o    Analyze sales data to improve the results of the accounts, through data-based decisions.
o    Manage full SBD portfolio within key accounts in pursuit of maintaining and expanding SKU-level distribution
•    Develop competitive frameworks to drive category growth through competitive analysis, keeping competitive points of view updated and communicated
o    Identify new business opportunities and loyalty of the existing client portfolio
•    Collaborate with other teams to track sales & product performance against the strategic plan and identify improvement/enhancement opportunities to achieve greater sales targets:
o    Monitors business performance on a daily, weekly, monthly basis and course correct to ensure that we are able meet and exceed our goals
o    Track the orders´ evolution, being responsible from entry to delivery to the customer
o    Maintenance of the optimal portfolio with the client, new products listing
o    Provide valuable inputs to the IBP / S&OP Process
o    Works together with the Supply Chain team to ensure flawless customer service & optimal Fill Rate levels
•    Negotiate commercial agreements with clients
•    Partner with the business teams to build capability & enhance operational rhythm
•    Work hand-to-hand with customer to build strong commercial relationships/partnerships

Who You Are

•    Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience in sales

•    A proven track record of managing & negotiating positive results with key customers
•    Strong PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
•    Ability to properly manage the entire chain through product category management expertise
•    Solid experience in the Industrial Market and/or Power & Hand Tools, Accessories or Construction industry would be a plus
•    Professional English a plus

•    Ability to travel within the region
