Veterinary Medical Care is an essential business and Veterinary Specialists of Alaska is looking for Kennel Assistants to join our team who share our dedication to protecting our clients, staff, patients, and community.

We are looking for a Kennel Assistant to join our 3 doctor hospital. We have a strong Technician team and we are looking for a positive, energetic addition to the team.

JOB SUMMARY
The Kennel Assistant provides general support with veterinary husbandry, hospital cleaning and supply stocking, as well as light exercise and grooming for patients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Incumbent must have the skills, ability, and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:Provide veterinary husbandry (e.g. bedding, cage turnover, food/water, litter, laundry, dishes)Provide general exercise and care for hospitalized and visiting animals; including walking, bathing, and grooming Assist with cleaning of hospital and grounds Assist with replenishing supplies in all areas of hospital Perform other duties as assignedESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
