Happy Trails Pet Spa and Resort offers pet services including dog daycare, dog and cat boarding, and grooming. We serve Northern Colorado and we are conveniently located between Loveland, Windsor, Greeley and Ft. Collins. We are your one-stop shop for pet care! At Happy Trails Pet Spa & Resort a Kennel Worker is responsible for providing a clean, efficient and healthy environment for the animals in daycare, boarding, or grooming at the Pet Resort. A day in the life of a Kennel Worker: Maintain the cleanliness of the resort, including kennel area, runs, and outside yards. Feed appropriate food/amount to daycare and boarding pets when necessary. Monitor and record important information about the animals’ conditions, behavior and habits (elimination, eating, etc.). Provide additional erichment to animals as directed. Notify manager or appropriate personnel of unusual medical or behavioral problems. Maintain laundry and dishes throughout the day and keep the food prep area sanitary and neat. Monitor and maintain the kennel inventory to include food, cleaning supplies, laundry supplies, etc. Completing other duties as assigned by the Pet Resort Manager or other leadership to ensure optimal care of pets, customer service, and overall operation of the resort. High School diploma or GED preferred. 1 consecutive year of working at an animal care facility, preferbly a daycare/boarding facility. Flexible schedule including weekend and holiday shifts. Must have computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment and be able to manage stressful situations. Must have the physical and mental capacity to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. Previous experience as a Kennel Worker.
