Key Account Manager, Space

Responsibilities

Develop and nurture relationships with key customers and partners in the Japan space sectorAct as the daily point of contact for assigned accounts, understanding their needs.Ensure that client expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle, facilitating effective communication between all stakeholders (customers, government authorities and Thales Alenia Space TAS)Analyze market trends and client feedbackStay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes impacting the industrial space sector in Japan. The new hire will have, consequently to propose a strategy of adaptation of TAS “go to market” accordingly.Identify new business opportunities within the Japan space sector. Expected order intake for TAS from Japan market is several 100M€ for the next 3-year term.Collaborate with TAS sales team to develop and execute sales strategies.

Qualification and Competencies

Minimum of 15 years’ experience as Account Management & Capture Sales in Space industryProven track record of managing large accounts and achieving sales targets.Strong understanding of satellite systems, space applications, and market dynamics in Japan (telecommunications and remote sensing technologies and services).Analytical capabilities of competitive analysis, win strategies, winning price, etc. are requiredAbility to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environmentExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in both Japanese and English. Fluency in French would be a plus.Computer skills are a must (Excel, PPT, Word, etc.)
