Your role and responsibilities

ABB Motors and Drives deliver a complete range of motors, generators, and mechanical power transmission products for all industries and applications. We provide the highest quality and service to our customers all around the world, with a focus on helping to use energy more efficiently. Committed to strengthening our team in Baden, Switzerland, we are currently looking for a Key Account Manager mainly for the chemical, oil, and gas market in Switzerland. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the account strategy focused on growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. You will coordinate the sales activities within your area of responsibility and deliver a world-class service to our customers. Together.The work model for the role is hybrid. #LI-HybridYou will be mainly accountable for:•\tParticipating in the development of sales strategies by being a spokesperson for customers mainly in the chemical, oil, and gas market in Switzerland•\tAdvising customers comprehensively and supporting them with solutions for their current and long-term business plans, creating added value for the customer and ABB by ensuring a coordinated sales approach •\tProviding customers with products/solutions/services in line with volume, mix, and profitability targets representing all ABB – take ownership and be responsible for a successful project acquisition (including negotiations and contract management), execution up to after-sales•\tLeading the development and implementation of the account plan and growth actions, defining sales targets and ensuring achievement with a structured follow-up process•\tMonitoring competitor activity and ensuring appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented

Qualifications for the role

\tDegree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, combined with a technical understanding of medium voltage motors, transformers, switchgear, protection devices, frequency converters, and electrical networks\tSeveral years of national and international sales and account management experience\tProfound knowledge of the chemical, oil, and gas market\tHigh level of motivation, self-starter with drive and winning spirit\tProactive in finding options and solutions, with excellent customer and service focus\tConstructive questioning of the existing while focusing on the essential\tFluent in German and English, Italian language skills are an advantage
