Job Description: The Key Account Manager (KAM) plays a crucial role as the sales lead for Eastman, driving customer strategy and leading the cross-business China account team to generate growth and value for both the customer and Eastman. The KAM focuses on strategic customers with global or regional reach. To succeed in this role, the KAM develops account strategies, translates them into tactical plans and prioritized opportunities, provides guidance and alignment to the team, and engages with the customer. The position requires 50% or more travel time and is based in Shanghai, China. Fluency in Mandarin is essential. The candidate will coordinate activities with their peer Key Account Manager in the US. Responsibilities + Utilize consultative selling processes to increase share of wallet and drive growth with new and existing products. + Lead the development and execution of the account strategy, gaining support aligned with each business strategy. + Build and lead the cross-functional account team, providing support, direction, and coaching. + Utilize Opportunity Management processes to prioritize and drive sales opportunities. + Maintain and execute Interaction Plans aligned with the Account Strategy. + Engage with the customer at the executive level, influencing their strategy and objectives, and ensuring support for Eastman's proposals. + Foster executive relationships between Eastman and the customer. + Understand the customer's business drivers and develop mutually beneficial offerings. + Develop shared goals and objectives for growth with the customer. + Utilize Eastman's value propositions in offers to customers. Required qualifications, experience, and skills: + Bachelor's degree in business, technical, or science field from an accredited university (MBA preferred). + Experience in developing and executing large, multi-business account strategies with cross-functional teams. + Minimum of 5+ years of commercial and consultative sales experience. + Fluency in English and Mandarin. + Business management, P&L experience, marketing, or product management is highly beneficial.
