Key Account Manager

We are seeking a KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER (KAM)-National only) to join our team.  

The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible to achieve sustainable financial and market share growth of the designated key customer account through overall coordination of the local business and engagement with relevant business line managers with respect to key decision makers effecting the local customer account. The role needs to be the expert on all customer affairs and business requirements combined with a strong understanding of Sandvik’s product & service offering which are critical to identify business opportunities, develop a winning strategy and situation-specific action plans to achieve sustainable growth for the overall Sandvik Mining & Rock Solutions’ offering.   

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Business Planning: 

Develop an in-depth understanding of the customer, business requirements and potential future trends incl. dynamics and processes, overall value chain and business drivers, ambitions, and initiatives to effectively identify improvement areas and proactively create and demonstrate the value Sandvik's products provide and also maximize the revenue from the customers business that relates to Sandvik's products and services.  

Key Customer Relationship Management  

Maintain and expand the existing contact network with customer representatives from all levels incl. senior management personnel beyond solely for purchasing decisions; both at corporate offices in various geographical locations and at the project site.   

Commercial Management  

(Profitability, Sales Opportunities, Tendering, Contract Negotiations) 

Play a critical role in maintaining profitability with the designated Key Customer Account and a strong contributor in achieving sustainable growth for the overall SMR offering.  

JOB REQUIREMENTS:  

Bachelor’s in mining, Business Management or Sales and Marketing, or similar related degree. 

Excellent communication skills with a high standard of English both written and oral. 

3-5 years’ experience in Mining sector with previous successful achievement in field sales activities.   

Local cultural awareness 

Willing and able to build relationships with different kinds of stakeholders. 

Ability to plan, organize and deliver High self-confidence, forceful, decision making. 

Customer-focused Ability to identify opportunities & right point of contacts Ability to be trusted advisor.
