Key Account Manager - East Coast

Brief Description

Under the direction of the Sales Director for North American Sales, the Key Account Manager will drive the activity associated with the organization's key customers as well as participate in a variety of business critical activities that insure that financial and other stated goals are met. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining high customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving customer inquiries and problems, generating orders and driving new product development to increase market share.

Key Accountabilities

Management of assigned key accounts and/or market segment activity including: orders, quotation, business development, conflict resolution, VOC, pricing to value, contract and account program administrationWhile primary focus will be OEM Accounts, this position will also support distribution/aftermarket customers as well.Drive new application development activities to gain market-shareUnderstand key market and competitive trends to best implement our value proposition as well as product offerings to enhance our value propositionDrive customer satisfaction/loyalty cultureIncrease shipset content to grow market-shareDrive methods and tools to improve pricing and quoting initiativesDrive customer management and contract enforcementDevelop & implement strategies for market pricing by channel, product, life cycle, etc.Management of Critical Programs, Contracts, and AgreementsMaintain a high knowledge base on the business’ products and applications.Work with engineering and marketing in order to capture target market share goalsContribute to Strategic Account Planning and initiativesProactive communications - internally and externallyMaintain sales activity to meet planned budgetMeet/Exceed Customer Satisfaction Goals

Job Requirements, Capabilities, and Success Factors

B.S. in Engineering, Business, or related fieldAt least 7 years of sales and/or Marketing experiencePrevious experience selling to OEMs and Tier 1 customers required; distribution sales experience a plusPrevious experience calling on design and/or project engineers preferredPrevious experience in working in aerospace for a manufacturer preferredExperience working with seals, bearings, and gears preferredPrevious experience using Salesforce and Tableau preferredAble/willing to travel up to 50% of the timeMust live on the East Coast
