Key Account Manager II - Austin, TX
About the role The Role: Key Account Manager, Texas Territory This role is responsible for the management and successful growth of Southco Key Accounts within the assigned geographic territory. This includes developing strong relationships with existing customers, researching and securing business with new customers, successfully converting new sales opportunities within the territory to achieve and exceed revenue targets, and possessing an in-depth knowledge of market conditions. What you will be doing Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Working with the Regional Sales Manager, develop and execute the sales plan for key accounts within the assigned geographic territory. Identify growth opportunities and manage the full customer sales cycle to achieve forecast objectives. + Schedule, plan, and execute in-person and virtual sales visits with key customers to reach the desired sales goals, maintain strong customer relationships, and promote Southco products to key industries. + Manage new product sales and development activities with assigned customers. Lead seminars at assigned key accounts per Southco's standards. + Prepare monthly and quarterly territory analysis for Sales Management that highlights all key activities. These include substantial opportunities, territory coverage, marketing efforts, prospecting, and/or problems. + Document all sales activities in SalesForce and record application activity on all assigned customers. + 60-80% of time will be spent traveling within the Texas territory. About you Is this a role for you? + Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar discipline. + 0 - 3 years of sales experience. Display an understanding of top and bottom line business issues and impacts. + Strong communication and listening skills. Ability to conduct engaging and effective presentations to customers and internal teams. + Computer literacy and the ability to develop proficiency with various Southco software programs including Salesforce. + Excellent skills in building relationships, influencing and collaboration. + Applicant must be located in the Texas Region and be able to travel within the territory 60-80% of time.
