We are currently looking for a Key Account Manager (m/w/d) to join Avantor in Switzerland for providing optimal support to our Key Account(s) located primarily in Basel.
What we’re looking for:
Strong background in science – particularly life science techniques and processes.Ability to demonstrate a record of success in a previous key account sales role is highly desirable, particularly in the pharmaceutical market.An ability to network throughout a complex customer, developing multiple partnership-based relationships in a range of departments with contacts demonstrating an array of personality types.Strong project management skills with an ability to influence others in a matrix environment.Well structured approach to problem solving and strong ability to communicate to stakeholders.Fluent English is a must, fluent German and/or French is a strong advantage.Driving license.How you will thrive and create an impact:
Increase competitive advantage by building strong partner relationships between Avantor / VWR and the key customer(s).Achieve annual territory sales and gross margin targets as set by the business.Deliver on the business and customer specific strategy, growing spend in a sustainable method that shows value to the customer through innovative projects.Utilise knowledge of life science processes to resolve the needs of a key complex pharmaceutical company using products & services available from VWR.Promote the Company’s products and services where they benefit the client.Work with all areas of the organisation to ensure customer requirements are met.Work with colleagues at partner locations to share ‘best practice’ driving conformity across the customer sites.Work with preferred suppliers, to gain a competitive edge, both technically and commercially.Forecast territory monthly and annual exit position for revenue and profit.Work as a team with fellow sales team members who visit the same end users by maintaining regular weekly communication to ensure clarity for the customer and minimum duplication of activity.#LI-Hybrid
