The Key Account Manager will successfully bring in new business, excel at account management, love the thrill of the hunt, and thrive on exceeding sales goals and expectations. In this role, you will grow the sales of Climate Solutions products with a focus on our Chiller division in accordance with the growth-based yearly budget. Additionally, you will develop and strengthen relationships, design and drive strategic account plans, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive sustainable long-term growth. To be successful in this role, you will provide a high-level overview of technology and applications for our Climate Solution product lines and associated products while engaging and establishing relationships with influential contacts through in-person and virtual sales calls.
Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Key Account Management: Develop and execute comprehensive account strategic plans, manage all day-to-day business aspects on key accounts, master the use of SalesForce and CRM to successfully capture pipeline and growth opportunities
Value Proposition Development & Presentation: Utilize in-depth knowledge of key accounts, the business strategy, product and range life cycle, organization, projects, decision-making processes, and key stakeholders to deliver best-in-class customer presentations and solutions focused on Danfoss’s value proposition
New Account Discovery & Penetration: Actively identify & pursue new target accounts to grow the overall NAM Climate Solutions strategy and the Air Conditioning and Commercial Refrigeration (ACR) Perspective
Broker Management: Provide strategic direction to broker partners to maximize sales efforts in the C-store channel. Develop sales tools for current/new product launches, communicate pricing, and continually support/attend training sessions and meetings to help achieve sales targets.
Business Planning and Development: Assist with convenience channel forecasting, budgeting, new product development, and new item launches.
Administrative: Complete all documentation, training, and T&E paperwork related to job activities.
Background & SkillsThe ideal candidate possesses these skills:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience Must possess a technical aptitude, but need not be an engineer Minimum three years of industry-related experience in a sales or supporting sales position Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems, SAP preferred. Proven ability to collaborate and drive results in matrix organization and high success in internal and external stakeholder relations Effective, and relevant, presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders' communication Professional, tenacious, and strong, convincing communication skills Must be proficient in MS Office suite with an emphasis in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word Willing to travel regionally and internationally as the position requires; estimated to be 50%, mainly within the USA and occasionally internationally
