The Key Account Manager is responsible for customer relationships, sales and market development of our poultry portfolio in the veterinary business channel, maximising opportunities by:
Preparing and implementing customer account plans to increase market share and market penetration to achieve agreed sales targets, within budget and in accordance with the overall Integrated Livestock Business Unit strategy.Partnering with the local Marketing, technical services & integrated livestock teams in a matrix structure, to execute effective and timely product marketing campaigns for end user engagement.Using a consultative selling approach to drive sales & relationships with accounts and solidify the position of Our Division Animal Health as a strategic partner.Identifying and fostering influencer relationships within accounts, maximizing new business while maintaining existing customer development.Furthering relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, professional and producer organisations through a significant presence in the field.Liaising and actively participating with other team colleagues to develop and educate veterinarians and their key clients, to create demand and promote poultry products to the end user.Independently solving a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexityCollaborating with European & Global Poultry Business colleagues to develop and implement strategic platforms and share best practicesRequirements:
Strategic business planning and managementProject management experienceIn-depth knowledge of the relevant market; its developments, customers and directionWide-ranging and sound communication skills for report writing, summarising, negotiation and presentingIn-depth knowledge of the agricultural and Poultry Animal Health industriesSignificant commercial experience in a veterinary pharmaceutical companyStrong business acumen and ability to work comfortably with financial data using Excel and similar toolsUnquestionable ethics and integrityAbility to use sales techniques including Key Account Management and Consultative SellingAbility to influence/motivate others without direct line of management authorityAbility to work under pressure to deadlinesAbility to adapt and evolve within a rapidly changing market environmentAbility to work positively and effectively within a cross-functional teamOur presence in the UK goes back a long way.
