Key Accounts Executive

Philip Morris International (PMI) is seeking a Senior Key Accounts Executive responsible for supporting the National Business Managers in the management of the Specialist channel, including ownership in the execution of strategies and plans as cascaded.  This role involves executing channel strategies and plans as directed, while also taking direct ownership of state-based accounts, ensuring alignment with the channel plan and account.  The successful candidate will monitor channel and account performance, identify opportunities and risks, and develop business proposals and initiatives to drive growth, close performance gaps, or mitigate potential threats within the channel. 

 

About the Role: 

As Senior Key Accounts Executive, you will be responsible for the below: 

Channel/Account Strategy Execution 

Full end to end management of account execution, performance and relationship.  

Execute account plans to achieve channel priorities / targets. 

Support and facilitate deployment activations within the specialist channel. 

 

Trading Terms 

Leverage existing trading term platform to maximise value 

 

Trading  

Develop proposals to support account direction. 

Execute campaign fundamentals and O&A opportunities. 

 

Account Performance 

Provide recommendations to National Business Managers to drive performance or address performance gaps. 

Weekly / Monthly/ Quarterly meetings with external customers (KA Joint Business Planning / tracking / QBR’s/ Top to top). 

Analyse competitor and market pricing strategy to unlock performance &/or manage threats providing insights to National Business Managers and/or pricing team for action. 

Manage out of cycle requests process end to end for sign off. 

 

Engagement 

Build and maintain relationships with account category team. 

Build internal relationship across all functions. 

 

Forecast 

Provide account input into volume forecasts via category planner. 

 

 

What You’ll Bring: 

A minimum 3+ years working in a commercial environment. 

Experience in supporting key accounts is preferred. 

Strong Financial & Business Acumen – Ability to interpret data, understand commercial drivers, and make sound business decisions.  

Advanced Problem-Solving Skills – Proactive in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.  

Effective Negotiation Skills – Skilled in influencing outcomes and building win-win agreements.  

Results-Driven Mindset – Demonstrates ownership and accountability to deliver on targets and objectives.  

High-Level System Proficiency – Confident using tools such as Power BI and Excel to analyse and present data.  

Exceptional Communication & Collaboration – Builds strong relationships and communicates clearly across all levels.  

Agility & Adaptability – Thrives in dynamic environments and adjusts quickly to changing priorities.  

Relationship Management Expertise – Develops and maintains trusted partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
