Job DescriptionThe Homestead Kids Club Counselor provides quality service that exceeds Guest and Member expectations. The counselor works to create guests for life, by proactively embracing Omni Hotels and Resorts service standards, adhering to safety regulations, and gaining the knowledge to assist guests with any needs.
Responsibilities Maintain active focus on all children in care, providing caring, energetic attention and consistent directionCommunicate clearly and supportively with parents regarding children’s needs, behavior, and related issuesComplete daily/weekly/monthly programs and activities as planned for each level of childcare as defined for various programs including but not limited to helping/ hosting special eventsAccurately complete procedures for registration, daily sign-in/out, cleanliness, and safetyClean and sanitize toys, equipment, and furniture within the childcare areasProvide feedback to management about improvements that could be made regarding programming, planning, organizing, and policiesAttend and complete all required meetings and staff trainings throughout the year as assignedSMILE and provide a positive environment for all members, staff, and guestsMay be asked to perform other duties as assignedTools and Equipment:First Aid Bag, Computer, Microwave, Telephone, Craft Supplies (glue dots, foam, popsicle sticks, beads, construction paper, glue gun, paint, dye etc.), and Printer/Scanner
Qualifications Must enjoy working with children of all agesMust have flexibility with work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysMust be CPR/Child Infant and CPR/AED certified, or must obtain certification upon hireYearly Background CheckPhysical Requirements:
Must be able to lift moderate weight (50-60 lbs)Must be willing to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions for extended periods of timeWorking Environment: Indoor Kid’s Club childcare facility, indoor Ballroom, outdoor with exposure to hot and cold temperatures, and frequent travel around property
