Management will consider other supporting locations. **Responsibilities** + Coordinate with other design group team members to review and exchange project information necessary for design and development. + Checks design for consistency, safety, operability and maintenance requirements before submitting to checking. + Reports task progress to Lead Designer. + Gathers required information and collaborate with engineers and multiple disciplines to develop BIM models for foundations and steel structures. + Leverages Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create plans, drawings, and details. + Aid in the development of department standards and tools. + Mentors other team members in design and modeling techniques. + Resolve design issues effectively with input from responsible engineer. \#LI-LH1 **Qualifications** + Completion of a vocational training program in Computer Aided Design and 5+ years of structural design experience using Tekla or Revit. + Demonstrates ability to interpret multi-discipline engineering and vendor documents. + Displays leadership and confidence to monitor peers, especially those with less experience in drafting and design. + Must have a basic knowledge of the latest computer operating systems. + Must be able to communicate effectively and constructively with other team members and disciplines both verbally and in written form. + Proficient in Navisworks software for design and review clash detection, and basic computing programs including Microsoft Office Suite. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + DOE and Commercial Nuclear experience preferred but not required. + Must be a US Citizen or US Permeant Resident. + Must be able to pass a background check. + Must be able to represent Kiewit Engineering & Design Co. in a professional manner to owners, contractors, vendors, and any other contacts outside the Kiewit Engineering & Design Co. organization. + Seeks feedback and uses it effectively.
