The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing all back-of-house operations, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly, safely and efficiently. You’ll lead the culinary team, maintain food quality to Applebee’s standards, manage cost controls, and support guest satisfaction through excellent operational execution.

Responsibilities
Lead, train and motivate the kitchen staff (line cooks, prep cooks, dish team, etc.) to consistently deliver high quality food.
Monitor and enforce food safety, sanitation, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards in compliance with local health regulations.
Oversee food preparation, portioning, plating and presentation to ensure it meets menu specifications and consistency.
Manage food ordering, inventory control, waste reduction and cost of goods in alignment with budget goals.
Create, adjust and monitor kitchen schedules and labor allocation to ensure efficient staffing.
Assist in menu implementation, recipe adherence, product knowledge, and training of new menu items.
Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless guest experience, timely delivery and service flow.
Resolve kitchen operational issues, maintain equipment functionality, and escalate maintenance needs as required.
Uphold company policies and procedures, participate in team meetings, and foster a positive, inclusive culture.
QualificationsWe're Looking For
