THE JOB:

As a Kitchen Steward at Luxor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our food and beverage outlets. From washing pots, pans, and dishes to ensuring that kitchen equipment and areas meet the highest sanitation standards, you will help create a clean and safe environment for our culinary teams.
 

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Gather, wash, and store dishes, glassware, and flatware using dishwashers and pot machines.Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, dishwashers, and glass washers.Handle chemical detergents to ensure proper cleaning of floors, walls, and kitchen equipment.Perform cleaning tasks, including sweeping and mopping floors, washing baseboards, and cleaning floor drains, hand sinks, and cutting boards.Separate and remove trash and garbage, including handling biohazard clean-up when necessary.Transport kitchen equipment between outlets and ensure proper storage.Maintain compliance with SNHD, OSHA, and other regulatory standards for health and safety.Report any equipment issues or concerns to leadership.Complete required health and safety trainings, such as OSHA and SNHD, to ensure adherence to all safety protocols.
 

THE STARTING PAY: $22.2206
 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

6+ months of prior relevant experience in stewarding or experience in a kitchen environment.Ability to effectively communicate in English, both oral and written forms.Experience with operating dishwashers, pot machines, and floor scrubbers.Comfortable with handling chemical detergents and maintaining proper cleaning standards.Familiarity with SNHD and OSHA regulations, including biohazard protocols and health and safety training.Ability to work varied, on-call shifts to include weekend and holidays.Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings, maintaining a steady workflow and speaking up when needed.
