Kitchen Supervisor - Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba Resort

The Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for the overall operation and performance of the kitchen staff. This includes setting goals and targets, monitoring progress, and providing feedback and guidance to ensure that the kitchen staff is meeting the standards of the restaurant. The Kitchen Supervisor will maintain a safe and sanitary working environment and implement and enforce safety and sanitation standards.

What will I be doing?

\n

As Kitchen Supervisor, you will be in charge of ensuring food safety at all times. You will also assist with inventory management. you will make sure that inventory of all needed supplies is maintained, you will be in charge of arranging daily menus and apportioned ingredients. The Kitchen Supervisor will also be in charge of Hiring and training kitchen staff. You will be in charge of assigning, training and supervising specific duties to culinary Team Members in a positive manner for efficient operation of the kitchen, you will be in charge of health and safety compliance, you will be Supervising food preparation and cooking practices. The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating Kitchen Operations. The Kitchen supervisor provides regular training, instruction, and guidance to the facility concerning matters of food safety, sanitation and hygiene. The Kitchen Supervisor will also assist with the Scheduling of work shifts for the kitchen staff. He/ She will be in charge of storing all food products in compliance with health and safety regulations and will ensure that the kitchen is clean and organized at all times. The Kitchen Supervisor will also help the F&B Outlets improve profits by designing and implementing strategies for waste reduction, He/ She will be Supervising the production of all meals leaving the kitchen to ensure they meet company standards and will be controlling for spoilage and waste. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\n        Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance reviews\n      Ensure all kitchen staff are properly trained and are following all food safety and sanitation guidelines\n      Ensure kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently\n      Monitor and maintain adequate kitchen inventory levels\n      Ensure that recipes and food preparation instructions are followed correctly\n      Monitor food quality and presentation\n      Ensure that all equipment is in good working order\n      Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment\n      Assist in menu planning and development\n      Assist Executive Chef & Sous Chef with administrative duties assigned.\n      Assist Executive Chef with Cooking when necessary.\n

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

\n\n         1-3 years of kitchen management experience\n         Previous experience with stock control responsibility\n         Previous kitchen administrative experience\n         Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards\n         Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment\n         Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills\n         Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends\n         ServSafe Food Handler certification (preferred)\n\n
