**Job Title: Kit Builder**
**Job Description**
The Automated KIT Production department builds kits for clinical trials research, sample collection and other human sample collection. Employees will be trained and spend time at four different stations within the department. The job involves standing for 12-hour shifts during the initial 2-3 weeks of training. Candidates will work in their own individual space with a computer screen and about 200 small bins, following instructions from the computer to pick and pack items into boxes. The job is repetitive and requires attention to detail.
**Responsibilities**
+ Stand for 12-hour shifts during the initial 2-3 weeks of training.
+ Pick and pack items into boxes as directed by the computer system.
+ Label boxes correctly and place them onto a rolling conveyor for packing.
+ Verify correct kits in order totes and transfer them to boxes.
+ Label boxes and send them to the appropriate shipping area (UPS, FEDEX, etc.).
+ Sit near the labeling line to pack instruction manuals.
+ Build small batch custom orders by hand while sitting in a cubicle-like chair.
+ Cross-train on 5-6 jobs across the automation department over time.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to stand on feet for 12-hour shifts.
+ Experience working in a fast-paced and high production environment.
+ Ability to lift 25lbs (team lifting for anything above 50lbs).

**Work Environment**
Shift hours are from 6 PM to 6 AM on a 2/2/3 rotating schedule. Employees get two paid breaks of 20 minutes and one paid lunch of 30 minutes. The work environment is clean, organized, temperature-controlled at 70 degrees or below, and has a constant noise level similar to a giant vacuum. Employees must wear long pants, closed-toed shoes, and can use one headphone for music or podcasts. No phones, food, or drinks (unless with a sealable lid) are allowed. Long-term work involves alternating between standing and sitting for 6-9 hours per shift.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $16.75 - $16.75/hr.
