Knott’s Berry Farm is seeking jolly and bright storytellers to portray the whimsical holiday character, Santa Claus. Bi-lingual performers are a plus. Individuals must be able to vocally improvise, stay in character for extended periods of time, and create the magic of the North Pole for families celebrating the season. An ideal candidate demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of holiday stories and traditions and has the ability to use them as a basis to engage with park guests. Performance experience is preferred but not required. Individuals cast will be expected to commit to multiple days a week from November 22, 2024 – December 24, 2024. Training will begin in early November. This role is compensated at a rate of $20.65/hr.
Individuals who would like to be considered must attend an in-person audition. Video submissions will not be accepted. Please park in the Western Employee parking lot (8189 Western Ave. Buena Park, CA 90620) located between La Palma and Crescent on Western Ave. Please proceed to Western Employee Park Entrance where a Knott’s Berry Farm representative will escort applicants to the audition area. Photos backstage of any kind are not permitted.

Responsibilities:Using your themed storytelling talent and performance abilities to enrich Knott’s Merry Farm’s holiday atmosphere for guestsWorking as a member of a team to achieve overall atmosphere and goals set by Entertainment leadership and show directorsConsistently performing your role as scripted and/or conceivedMaintaining the highest quality of showmanship and guest interaction "on‑stage” while performing in a professional and artistic mannerProviding guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving accurate directionsMaintaining cleanliness and safety in assigned work area, performing all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines/requirements, and reporting all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervisionMeeting scheduling availability requirements that include nights, weekends, and holidays Fulfilling attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policiesAdhering to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct and other park/division specific policies and procedures, including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee GuidelinesPerforming other duties as they are assigned
