Knowledge Management Lead, Global Engineering

Position: Knowledge Management Lead, Global Engineering.

Reporting to: Sr. Director, Global Process Engineering.

Geographic Scope: Global.

Direct Reports: None.

​The Knowledge Management Lead ensures that valuable knowledge and expertise are created, organized, applied, and transferred effectively within the organization. This role aims to enhance operational efficiency, reduce the risk of knowledge loss, promote innovation, and support the continuous improvement of engineering and manufacturing processes.

Key Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Develop a prioritized strategic roadmap for implementing robust knowledge management programs, building upon industry and company best practices, and leveraging tools and process advancements.

•Design and maintain a knowledge management system and library accessible to Ingredion worldwide.

•Design and implement tools to assess technical knowledge gaps, validate knowledge transfer, and develop strategies to address the gaps.

•Oversee and maintain the company’s technical knowledge base of Ingredion’s manufacturing processes.

•Work with manufacturing process experts and owners to create and publish content.

•Assess, create, capture, and organize knowledge assets for enterprise use.

•Collaborate with various departments and partner with global training team members in learning processes.

•Standardize delivery of engineering process knowledge within the organization.

•Independently develop best practices and drive critical thinking.

•Routinely and proactively engage with a network of stakeholders to understand the greatest needs and risks associated with effective knowledge transfer.

Other Role Metrics and Parameters for Evaluation

•Experience with centralized hubs to store, organize, and access technical knowledge.

•Technical knowledge to manage can be any type of documented asset, such as training videos, training presentations, guidelines, best operational practices, manuals, etc.

•Previous experience working in engineering and/or manufacturing plants is preferred. Training and certification in knowledge management from APQC or comparable certifying agencies preferred.

•Detailed oriented and ability to incorporate large amounts of information effectively.

•Training or instructional experience.

•Have excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills. Project management experience strongly preferred.

•Lead change through influence, collaborate across boundaries, scale and invest in new ideas.

•Co-create meaning and purpose; engage and  energize the organization.

•Drive Key Performance Indicators such as Proficiency Level, Knowledge Gap, etc.
