The knowledge manager is responsible for overseeing all knowledge-related activities, including the management, capturing, sharing and accessibility of knowledge assets. They are required to work alongside stakeholders, internal and external, to promote and optimize the usage of the organization’s knowledge assets.
Job scope:
Maintaining Team’s knowledge base (OKM) in three ways:
Publishing new procedures and knowledge articles Updating existing knowledge articles in established time periods or sooner when new information is available on existing knowledge or a change of an existing knowledge article. Deleting outdated knowledge and faulty procedures.
Knowledge gathering: Independently recaching out to vendors and customer for filling knowledge gaps or knowledge on new services/products introduced. Reaching out to customer teams to together review knowledge gathered from third parties before publishing in knowledge base.
Customer/vendor knowledge meetings
Attending periodical (weekly- bi-weekly etc.) meetings dedicated to knowledge discussions with both the customer and third parties, with prepared agenda and knowledge issues to be raised. Sending meeting notes. Actioning everything on their and teams’ side agreed on those meetings. Attending meetings appointed by manager. Attend meetings appointed by customer. Attending weekly internal team management call and provide relevant knowledge updates.
Notifying the team about OKM changes
Notifying the team about OKM changes via Teams channel. Notifying the team about OKM changes via team distro e-mail (urgent procedure changes daily and once a week all changes made in OKM for the agents to see). Attending team meetings to remind agents of recent changes.
Monitoring if the changed procedures are being applied correctly to tickets and calls and giving feedback to agents if they are not.
