Knowledge Mobilization Specialist
Join a top employer and advance your career. Aplin has partnered with an Alberta-based company to hire an Knowledge Mobilization Specialist for an 8 month contract. This is a remote position (working hours will be MST time zone).

About the Role: We are looking for a Knowledge Mobilization Specialist who will play a key role in helping researchers maximize the impact of their work. This role involves guiding researchers to share their findings effectively, both within academic circles and beyond. You’ll work closely with research teams to ensure their ideas reach the right audiences and make a difference in real-world settings.

Key Responsibilities:
Research Impact Support (30%): Collaborate with researchers at the start of their projects to help them set goals and create plans for spreading their research. You'll assist them in expanding their reach and influence.Knowledge Mobilization Guidance (30%): Provide ongoing support throughout the research process, helping researchers develop strategies and assisting with funding applications.Training and Capacity Building (30%): Lead training sessions and provide resources that help researchers improve their skills in sharing their work. You'll also manage projects aimed at enhancing research communication efforts.Navigation Assistance (10%): Help researchers understand and navigate the research landscape, both within universities and in the broader Canadian context.Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations) and relevant professional experience.Experience in knowledge sharing, especially in academic settings, with at least 3 years of related work experience.Knowledge of Canadian research funding programs and how to meet their requirements for sharing research outcomes.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in creating training materials and reports.Ability to build strong relationships with researchers and provide helpful feedback.Able to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.Familiarity with digital tools for sharing research and managing data is an asset.
