Position Summary

Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

•    Follows hospital regulations and industry procedures to tend to patient during pre-operation procedures

•    Performs pre-operation preparations to the patient's skin, body and medical equipment

•    May be required to transport patient to and from the operating room

•    Performs other related duties as assigned

•    Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field

•    Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

•    Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function

•    Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications

•    Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist OR vocational/technical training program in Nursing required

•    NBSTSA or NCCT Surgical Technician Certification (CST) OR State of Idaho Licensed Practice Nurse required 

•    Operating room experience preferred

•    BLS required

•    Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend

•    Must be able to push, pull, or transfer heavy equipment

•    Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
