KP Mobile App Bachelor's Intern

This role is scheduled to be 100% remote. While remote, finalists MUST reside in one of the following states to be eligible for employment with Kaiser Permanente: CA, OR, WA, HI, CO, GA, MD, VA, CT, DC, or IL.



Department Description:


The MCoE is the team helping Kaiser Permanente change the way health care is delivered. We are creating the mobile experience that brings health care of the doctor's office and into the hands of our members, workforce and clinicians. Our team guides the mobile direction, standards and delivery for Kaiser Permanente.



Intern Project(s):


Work on POC for KP Mobile app and improving unit test & automation coverage of the app.



Target Majors:


Computer Science



Target Skills:


Android:
Experience with Kotlin or Java


Experience with Android Studio


Knowledge of Android Library Projects.


iOS:
Code and unit test CocoaPods and iOS apps that are part of our Mobile Development Kit set of libraries.  Create proof of concept iOS apps to explore and validate potential solutions.


Experience with Swift or Objective-C
Experience with Xcode Knowledge of CocoaPods


A passion for mobile technologies


Experience with git to manage and share source code


Experience integrating 3rd party source code and/or libraries


Experience consuming and developing XML or JSON web services


Working knowledge of Excel and Power Point


Knowledge of Test-Driven Development principles and tools


Knowledge of agile development practices


Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills


Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think logically


Adept at learning new technologies quickly
