This position involves managing client relationships, leading sales campaigns, negotiating contracts, and establishing processes to secure lucrative opportunities aligned with Kiewit's goals and financial objectives. **District Overview** Kiewit's Water Facilities South group is one of Kiewit's leading water/wastewater districts specializing in constructing water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, and desalination plants. Although we are headquartered in Dallas TX, with regional offices in Miami FL and Atlanta GA, we also pursue various projects stretching across the country. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about infrastructure and committed to the construction industry as opposed to design. Because our people receive continuous and extensive training, hands-on experience, and challenging responsibilities from the day they join our team, they quickly develop the expertise that has earned our district its reputation as the premier contractor in the southeast United States **Location** Westlake, TX **Responsibilities** As a Senior Business Development Specialist, your key responsibilities will include: + Developing and implementing short and long-term business development plans aligned with corporate objectives + Cultivating relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders + Leading the development of key messages for client interactions + Providing timely reports on business opportunities and customer activities + Participating in strategic meetings to develop bid strategies + Attending industry events to strengthen relationships and offer innovative solutions + Maintaining awareness of market trends and competitive strategies + Contributing to leadership roles in the construction marketplace **Qualifications** To excel in this role, you will need: + At least five years of experience in developing business opportunities in the water market + A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business + Experience in the construction or heavy civil industry + Understanding of contract models and commercial terms + Proven track record in leading successful sales pursuits + Strong organizational skills and high energy levels + Ability to adapt to industry trends and competitor activities + Professionalism and strong client interviewing skills + Excellent written and oral communication skills + Aggressiveness in pursuing career advancement + Integrity, maturity, and sound business judgment Other Requirements: + Regular, reliable attendance + Work productively and meet deadlines timely + Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. + Perform work safely and effectively.
