Job Description & Summary

A career in Learning and Development, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the success of our people by developing quality and relevant learning initiatives that constantly improve the PwC experience. You’ll help us identify and source the best instructors, develop learning and performance improvement solutions across traditional and virtual classroom environments, and consult with other areas of the Firm to ensure our curriculums and initiatives support the PwC strategy.

As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Preferred Knowledge/Skills

Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

Utilizing instructional design and project management (both agile and waterfall) to support the development of live/virtual learning solutions;

Developing engaging content and innovative learning activities by gathering insights from Subject Matter Specialists (SMS) from the business or externally including building rapport, setting context, defining objectives, and generally facilitating the process to obtain SMS input in a structured and disciplined manner;

Understanding of blended learning solutions/methods including instructional design, learning objectives, educational technologies (e.g. virtual classroom) and adult learning theory;

Displaying and continuously developing project management and instructional design skills, and knowledge of business contexts and the learning needs of a professional services firm Working independently and prioritizing time to complete project tasks/deliverables within established project timeframes;

Collaborating across the organization and with external vendors to meet client expectations, learning objectives, and implementation requirements to create an effective learning environment;

Establishing effective networks and working productively on project teams with both on-shore and off-shore colleagues including, contractors, and vendors across multiple functional groups;

Understanding of NASBA and AICPA CPE requirements and the impact on business and the design of learning solutions;

Possessing knowledge of Accessibility standards (503/508 Compliance);

Understanding business contexts and learning needs of a professional services firm;

Answering questions and providing direction to less-experienced staff;

Leveraging prior knowledge/experience in a relevant area desirable, though not required; and,

Managing multiple priorities and pro-actively troubleshooting and problem solving on a real-time basis, keeping leadership informed of progress and issues.

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in a professional services environment utilizing an array of digital skills to drive higher value, lower cost, and a tech-enabled learning experience, including:

Using design thinking (including persona development, affinity mapping, journey mapping, and prototyping);

Using agile project management techniques (including sprint planning, backlog management and sprint review);

Maintaining knowledge of current and emerging learning technology trends and experience innovating with new learning technology tools;

Analyzing data and communicating data insights to drive decision making (leveraging market leading tools such as MS Power Tools ; and,

Leveraging the Google and MS suite of tools to drive efficiency, productivity, and collaboration.
