The L&D Specialist will focus on delivering high-quality training programs and solutions that align with our strategic goals. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement engaging and effective learning experiences that drive business objectives and align with best practices in adult learning. You may also facilitate training sessions at our Atlanta headquarters and, on occasion, other locations across our network. Responsibilities may include:

 

Conduct needs analysis to identify learning objectives. Create and deliver engaging training products including presentations, e-learning, instructor-led, virtual, video, visual aids, etc. Develop leadership curriculum based on proven strategies determined by current research, benchmarking, and/or assessments. Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate their knowledge into effective learning experiences Use project management systems to monitor, update, and report on the status of ongoing projects. Build strong consulting and working relationships with stakeholders to manage expectations, create project plans, and regularly communicate project status. Lead train-the-trainer sessions to ready facilitators. Create and implement assessment and evaluation instruments to measure learning effectiveness. Effectively facilitate professional development training in various formats, including workshops, webinars, and small groups sessions, while inspiring participation and knowledge retention. Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve effectiveness of training solutions. Provide direction for program additions and revisions to ensure “best in practice” training and professional development.

 

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, Training and Development, Communication, or related field. Certification in administration of personality inventories. (DISC, HBDI, Myers Briggs) Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint), Articulate RISE and Storyline, and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop). Experience with audio/video editing suites and digital product design software is a plus. Knowledge of learning format options and tradeoffs.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Excellent written/verbal communication and facilitation skills. Excellent problem-solving capabilities and analytical skills. Strong consulting, collaboration, and relationship management skills.
