The Silberstein Lab is recruiting a Lab Aide to perform routine laboratory tasks in order to help support the lab under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. A commitment of at least one year is expected. This position is estimated to be approximately 10 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate a student schedule.
Responsibilities Primary responsibility will be murine colony maintenance/PCR genotyping. Other responsibilities will include re-stocking lab supplies, processing biohazard waste, and making reagents. QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from High School or equivalent with interest in the sciences.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Current enrollment in college at the sophomore or higher level (or equivalent experience), with prior introductory biology and chemistry.Willingness to commit to a position for two years.Detail-oriented, organized, capable of maintaining thorough records, and be able to work efficiently under supervision.Attendance at lab meetings and involvement in a research project will be encouraged.Seniors looking to progress to a research technician position upon graduation encouraged to apply.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $20.00 to $25.45, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
