We are seeking a Lab Analyst for assignment in Walla Walla, Washington. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks including sampling, testing and analysis of water and wastewater related systems on an assigned shift.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Responsibilities- Perform chemical, biochemical and bacteriological tests using laboratory equipment and materials in municipal facilities
- Conduct a variety of tests of plant influent, effluent and receiving bodies
- Examine digester and raw sludge samples
- Test pH, alkalinity, volatile acids, total solids, density, dissolved oxygen, organic material content, coliform bacteria and residual chlorine
- Maintain a comprehensive quality assurance program based on the established guidelines
- Perform computations, maintain and prepare records and reports
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and materials
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid Drivers License
- Laboratory testing and analysis experience
