Job Description
As a Lab Assistant, you will be responsible for collecting samples, preparing shipments, inspecting raw materials and finished goods, and ensuring all procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed. You will also assist with updates, perform batch record reviews, maintain quality documentation, support the Change Management process, and perform daily data entry. Additionally, you will report nonconformities, send out supplier evaluation samples, and work closely with cross-functional teams.
ResponsibilitiesCollect samples, prepare shipments, and inspect raw materials and finished goods.Test raw materials as applicable.Perform raw material, finished goods, and packaging release with supervision.Follow all procedures and SOPs, and assist with updates.Perform limited batch record reviews with supervision.Maintain proper quality documentation.Support the Change Management process as necessary.Perform daily data entry into M3 and LIMs.Report nonconformities by following applicable SOPs.Send out supplier evaluation samples as applicable.Follow good lab procedures and safety protocols.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, R&D, and other quality groups.Essential SkillsProficiency in pipetting, Excel, LIMs, and Microsoft Office.Strong organizational skills.Experience with stability testing, NIR, chemistry, biochemistry, analytical techniques, dilutions, titrations, and sample preparation.High school diploma required; an Associate's Degree or relatable lab/scientific experience preferred.Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.Strong computer skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsGood interpersonal skills for interacting with a wide variety of employees.Experience with inventory and operation software.Work Environment
The work hours are 11 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Friday. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position. You will be part of a team of 3, reporting to a supervisor. The role involves supporting sample shipping and receiving, processing samples, and completing entry-level testing such as pH and moisture testing. The dress code is research casual, including jeans or khakis and work-appropriate shirts, with close-toed shoes. All necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) such as glasses and coats will be provided.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
