Employee will initially work weekdays but is expected to transition to a schedule that includes weekend shifts, the ability to work on weekends is required.

Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - As needed, not to exceed 19.0 hrs per week.
Summary of Position
Monitor lab activities and equipment in the Computer Science labs, to prevent theft and abuse. Facilitate student learning by helping students and faculty with their work, and providing programming, debugging, and other assistance to students as they complete their lab assignments. Must be reliable, trustworthy, be neat in appearance and work well with others.
Minimum Required Education
High School Diploma or GED , and 8 credit hours of college courses in Computer Science
Minimum Required Experience
Preferred candidates are those who have at least 1 year of wage-earning experience using Microsoft Office or programming. Alternatively, candidates who have completed 8 hours of Computer Science classes at CTC , with a grade of “B” or higher in ITSC1309/BCIS1305 (or an equivalent course), are also encouraged to apply. Additionally, students who are currently enrolled in ITSC1309/BCIS1305 and have been recommended by their instructor are welcome to apply. While meeting all of these qualifications is preferred, they are not all required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Knowledge and thorough familiarity with MS Windows and Microsoft Office, with knowledge of VB and HTML being a plus.
+ The ability to effectively communicate technical knowledge to students without doing their work for them is essential, as are excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear, concise instructions in a friendly and productive manner.
+ Must be able to work shifts ranging from Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM, and weekends from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
+ Reliability, trustworthiness, and the ability to work well with others are key qualities, along with maintaining a neat and professional appearance.
