Job Summary
The Lab Assistant is responsible for performing routine medical lab tests for the diagnosis and treatment of patients as directed by the clinicians and lab director. Lab assistants participate in on-call rotation and should be willing to work as needed, including overtime.

1-3 years Phlebotomoty experience. Preferred Previious exposure to Occupational Medicine. PreferredSkills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers of the lab. Communicate in a manner that promotes clinic and laboratory professionalism as well as a comfortable experience for the patient. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to work under pressure and maintain high level of accuracy. Aibility to follow detailed instructions, appropriately prioritize tasks, and hold strong problem-solving skills. Ability to become and maintain proficiency in the computer systems. Ability to learn and interpret state and federal laws and regulations and stay updated with federal regulatory changes. Knowledge of all routine container and minimum volumes required for specimen collection. Ability to answer the telephone in a pleasant, timely and helpful mannerLicenses and Certifications
