**Job Summary and Qualifications**
Lab Call Center Specialist, provides with an effective and convenient way to solve customer problems or address telephone needs through a systematic and organized flow of calls. To follow established guidelines to ensure a smooth process for the customer to all facets of outpatient and inpatient services. To serve the physicians, nurses, and other Inpatient Hospital personnel by facilitating communication between them and the laboratory. To facilitate all incoming calls concerning the results retrieval process in such a manner as to provide ultimate customer satisfaction.

+ Greet and answer customer questions with a friendly attitude. Answers inquiries by clarifying issues, researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions, implementing solutions and escalating unresolved problems. Fulfills requests by clarifying desired information, completing transactions and forwarding requests.
+ Handle incoming calls and route to the appropriate individual or department as needed. Call critical results to the providers of the patient and adheres to state/federal regulations regarding healthcare compliance, including HIPAA.
+ Troubleshoots all customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner. Documents and communicates all issues immediately to Supervisor or Laboratory Manager. Helps eliminate barriers for the customer in order to provide excellent customer service to all.
**What qualifications you will need:**
+ Education: High School or GED Experience: Call center representative or equivalent experience preferred
+ Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required: 1. Required: BLS Certification within 30 days of hire
Preferred: Outstanding communication and customer service skills, data entry training, ability to multi-task
