We offer permanent role for Lab Computing IT Service Engineer (m/f/d) based in Schachen, LU to support OneSource division of PerkinElmer at the customer’s site. The successful candidate will provide IT and business analysis services with focus on software for analytical laboratory instruments from all vendors. This role strongly includes computer system validation/compliance services. The designee will team up with the globally acting lab computing division and also support the other PerkinElmer practices and divisions.
Core Job Duties:
Implement, monitor and provide technical support of customer laboratory IT environments, typically integrated with instrumentation
Implement customer specified bench-top computing design and processes
Include Incident Handling
Application and Operating System upgrades
Commissioning and Decommissioning of Lab Computers
Implementation of multiple security packages.
Lab network infrastructure support
Create and maintain accuracy inventory of lab equipment, PC’s and software
Act as the technical support contact for field service engineers, repairing and troubleshooting client instrument and information technology issues
Act as liaison for software/hardware related inquiries
Act as an interface between client, business and corporate IT teams
Participate in client team meetings
Validation, Security and GxP System Support
IT Technical review of validation and compliance documents supporting GxP computerized systems.Provides IT technical Subject Matter Expertise for system validations and change management efforts
Analyzes, identifies, and implements enhancements, upgrades and/or solutions required to improve the system performance and security.
Support system validation projects technical and documentation requirements.
Implements Windows based security, including: user / group permissions, file / folder permissions, group policies, local security policies, etc.
Special Lab Application Skills
Experience with Chromatography Data Systems and related instrumentationPractical experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), ideally certified.Systems Virtualization (VDI & Server)

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Life Science or equivalent industry experience
4+ years of relevant technical experience including Windows technologies, networking, remote computing and backup systems
Experience with scientific instrumentation a big plus
Preferable 2+ years of GxP experience
Excellent customer service skills complimented by an ability to listen to and interpret client requests.
Ability to troubleshoot complex instrument and technology issues.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to identify, track and complete tasks for multiple projects running in parallel, under prescribed time-frames.
Be passionate in attention to detail and tech aspects.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (required), German (strongly preferred). Any additional language would be a plus.Ability to work both independently and as a team member, within prescribed guidelines, coping with frequent grey areas / uncertainty.
