Au de sein de deux départements situés en R&D auprès de notre partenaire priviliégié, nous recherchons un Lab Operational Coordinateur, pour apporter du support à notre client. Notamment en prenant en charge de la culture primaire, cellulaire, diverses manipulations de laboratoires ainsi que la gestion des équipements, stocks & commandes liés à ces laboratoires.Avantor is on the lookout for a motivated Lab Coordinator to join the team in Braine-l’Alleud. In this diverse position you act as the first point of contact for lab users of the In vivo laboratory, you coordinate all lab activities, you support in experiments, and more. This is a full-time position based on the site of our customer, UCB Pharma, in Braine-l’Alleud. You get a temporary contract of six months, which becomes a permanent one after a positive evaluation. Working hours: Monday – Friday, flexible start time between 07:30 and 09:00 and finish time as of 16:00
The team
You are part of a small encouraging and team and together with seven colleagues, you belong to our department Lab and Production Services. This division of Avantor supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.
What we’re looking for
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in sciences, e.g. Biology or BiotechnologyA Felasa B certificate is requiredExperience:
Proven experience in the Life Science industryFamiliar with cell cultures and animal handling in a scientific settingHands-on lab experiencePreferred qualifications:
Good basic knowledge of MS Office, mainly Excel and PowerPointFluent communication skills in both English and FrenchVaccination for Hepatitis BYou’re comfortable with working in an In Vivo LaboratoryStructured, strong organizational skills and flexibleCustomer-centric, driven and motivatedHow you will thrive and create an impact
Lab Coordination:
Make sure lab users are respectful to guidelines and rules, and leaving the lab clean and tidyTrain new lab staffSchedule maintenance of lab equipmentWelcome Technicians for equipment maintenanceAct as a point of contact for external and internal stakeholdersManage stockrooms by following up with the right a-people if orders are placedLab Technician:
Support in biological experiments, e.g. QPCR, Cell cultures and moreWork with animals in the laboratory by doing dissections and taking care of samplesAliquot solutions and biological samples#LI-Onsite
