Lab FA Manager
At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world. Job Overview TE Connectivity’s R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams conceive original ideas for new products, introduce them into practice. They are responsible for product development, and qualification from market definition through production and release; assist in the qualification of suppliers for new products to ensure suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services for new or improved manufacturing processes; conduct feasibility studies, testing on new and modified designs; direct and support detailed design, testing, prototype fabrication and manufacturing ramp. The R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams provide all required product documentation including, but not limited to, Solid Model, 2D/3D production drawings, product specifications, and testing requirements. They create and modify detailed drawings and drafting or conceptual models from layouts, rough sketches or notes and contribute to design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product. Typical fields of expertise include: materials, mechanics and systems, electrical, optics, chemistry, software, automation systems, packaging, testing and measurement, and manufacturing of electrical, mechanical and electronic components, products, and their integration into systems. What your background should look like:

Overall Responsibility:
Manage FA function, lead new tech with engineering for core tech dev, manage database consolidation. Improve via TEOA for lab goals and support engineering in market.

1. Strategy
a. Set FA goals, develop strategies for new tech tasks.
b. Provide FA/lab strategies, assess capabilities, allocate resources for product cycle and quality. Use financial knowledge for assessment and network building. Align with org culture for lab competitiveness.

2. Lab Strategy Mobilization & Execution
a. Communicate lab program requirements for competitiveness.
b. Plan test equipment investment in FA/lab for efficiency and return.
c. Create systems for FA function performance monitoring, streamline process.
d. Develop methods for FA/lab growth, quality initiatives for risk reduction.
e. Define FA/lab operation rules for daily work. Research methods for process control and quality.

3. Succession Talent Effectiveness
a. Identify key talents, drive team development for right positions.
b. Provide office support like training for team ability and sustainable development.

 

Requirements:
· Engineering technology areas: Master's degree or above.
· 8+ years in similar industry's engineering field (management level). Outstanding engineering and test field background, organization management knowledge, software capabilities.
· English skills (listening, speaking, writing).
· Proactive, results - driven. Good at logic and structure skills.
· Manager - level experience with ISO/IEC 17025 lab system standards and engineering skills.
· Ability to conduct audits and communication, collaboration, team - building skills.
· Preferred: Experience in validation test, Failure Analysis, 3D printing, tool application or system Engineering.
· Preferred: Ability in new tech to reduce testing/inspection or experience in new program/project launch.
