If you’re hungry to build a varied and meaningful career in a community of brilliant and diverse minds to make a real difference, there’s only one choice.** **Lab IT Infrastructure Spec** **YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES** The primary responsibilities of this role, Lab IT Infrastructure Specialist, are to: + Utilizes specific technical knowledge to plan, organize, and document procedures for projects supporting IT systems for laboratory instruments. + Works with partners to ensure IT systems, including databases, LIMS, equipment, automation, and associated PCs are functioning appropriately to deliver the Plant Biotech pipeline. + Interface with IT infrastructure teams regarding lab IT needs on behalf of scientists and R&D personnel. + Works to define root cause analysis to prevent future system failures. + Ensures instrumentation remains operational and is not impacted by IT updates or other potential disruptors. + Partners to successfully bring new equipment online, including automation, sequencers, etc. + Works to ensure teams have adequate connectivity behind firewalls to upload data. + Responsible for troubleshooting at multiple sites across Plant Biotechnology, including Chesterfield, Ankeny, Singapore, Petrolina, Bangalore. + Ensure compliance to standards. + Demonstrate excellent communication with all stakeholders, both local and global, along with consistent, reliable delivery of solutions. + Develop work plans, schedules, status reports, risk analysis, and monitor the progress of plans against project milestones. + Analyzing and documenting requirements by liaising with a range of users in the organization. + Provide end user support, troubleshooting, issue tracking and software documentation for R&D hardware, software and infrastructure with Enterprise IT teams. + Work closely with researchers to support GLP related activities, validation requirements, and maintain GLP-related documentation **WHO YOU ARE** Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree + Excellent troubleshooting skills related to maintaining PCs connected to laboratory instruments. + Demonstrated ability to set up and manage networks, or as a system administrator. + Applies state-of-the-art domain expertise to solve lab IT infrastructure issues + Experience with application database (SQL, Oracle) and related R&D software. + Interacts routinely with laboratory teams to solve problems and identify areas of improvement. + Able to communicate effectively to convey complex ideas in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to diverse teams within and across organizations. + Aligns personal activities to team and organization goals.
