The Quality Specialist works closely with the MCF managers, supervisors, and other lab personnel. Specialist is responsible for assisting with the coordination and implementation of the quality assurance activities for Mayo Clinic Florida Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DLMP) and assists with the laboratory the document control program. Must have exemplary human relation skills and proven problem-solving skills and be able to identify, analyze, evaluate, and solve quality problems within the department. Must be capable of taking data sets and using quality templates (such as charts, graphs, flow diagrams) to convey quality outcomes which can be used by management and administration in monitoring and measuring quality assurance activities. At least three to five years laboratory experience is required. **Additional Skills and Qualifications:** Must be self-motivated, able to work independently on multiple tasks, Able to work on projects which may not be fully defined. Good human relations/communication/organizational skills are needed to interact with various levels of personnel.
